Bristol City boss Keith Millen believes it may be difficult to keep hold of goalkeeper Stephen Henderson this summer.

The Irish stopper had a successful loan spell at Yeovil last season and is eager to establish himself in the first team.

But with David James currently considered the Robins’ number one, the 23-year-old may look a move away from Ashton Gate.

Millen told the Bristol Evening Post: Stephen has been made an offer and it is there on the table for him but he is still away on holiday and I have not heard from him.

"He understands the situation here and he knows I don't want to lose him, because I think he has a big future in the game.

"If something comes up and another club comes in for him, offering first-team football, then I suppose he is going to look at that.

"As far as I'm concerned, I have three keepers as good as anything in the Championship and I want to keep it that way.

"If another club wants to take Stephen, then they will have to make us an offer, because we want to keep him.

“But we are not at that stage yet and I'm hopeful he will decide to stay with us."
