Iconic hero David Hasselhoff will be tapping into his dark side to play Captain Hook in Peter Pan in this year's panto at the Bristol Hippodrome.
David, best known for the iconic roles of Michael Knight in Knight Rider and Mitch Buchanan in the most watched TV show in history Baywatch and currently appearing as a judge in Britain’s Got Talent, will be starring in the swashbuckling family pantomime from Saturday 10 December.
David said: "I am so delighted to be returning to the role of Captain Hook, I had a blast last year in Wimbledon.
"I’ve been spending a great deal of time in the UK, it feels like my second home and I can’t wait to spend Christmas with the people of Bristol. Watch out – Hoff the Hook is coming to get ya!"
“The Hippodrome staff weren’t quite sure they’d heard me correctly when I told them who our pantomime star was going to be this year. The Hoff, you mean THE David Hasselhoff? World famous celebrity, star of Knight Rider and Baywatch is going to be starring in our pantomime Peter Pan this year? It certainly took a while for the news to sink in that’s for sure!” said Christiaan de Villiers, General Manager, The Bristol Hippodrome. “Such excitement had to be seen to be believed. This is truly fantastic news for the theatre and Bristol and we look forward to welcoming The Hoff to our wonderful city”.
Peter Pan is a traditional family pantomime and will feature all the ingredients that make pantomime special - stunning sets and costumes, big song and dance numbers, a laugh-a-minute script and bags of audience participation.
Join Peter, Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys and the Darling family as they soar through the skies, encounter Captain Hook and discover the magic of Neverland at the Bristol Hippodrome this Christmas.
